In today's challenging world, we hear a familiar saying, "It's going to take a miracle." Yes, that's exactly what much of today's devastating news will take--a miracle. Man doesn't create them without the hand of the Lord involved.

Hebrews 2:4 "God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to His will."

Today I choose to expect miracles, signs and wonders to be in my path. I choose to expect the perfect will of God to operate fully in my life distributing what is good, and those things that will help me to grow.

Join with me in expectation from heaven into your life.

Monday Magnitude--Joy To The World

Glory to God, this is the Monday before Christmas, and I am excited for the theme of this week. What a JOY it is to be able to share the JOY I have from the depths of my heart with each of you and those in whom I meet.

We say that Jesus is the reason for the season, but in truth, the message that Jesus brought brings us into a lifestyle of JOY, LOVE, PEACE, GOOD WILL TOWARDS ALL MANKIND, and A UNIQUE UNDERSTANDING OF THE FUTURE.

I get JOY when I think about what Jesus has done for me, not just as Christmas, but all through the year.

Today I choose to magnitude--JOY TO THE WORLD, let the SON SHINE IN!

Monday Magnitude--Unique Praise

As the day we celebrate the birth of Christ Jesus, I am reminded daily of Father God's love for mankind. He made each of us with a purpose and unique design for a specific purpose that nobody else can fulfill. We make a difference in how we do things because of our uniqueness.

We may do the same job, have a similar ministry, or family traditions, but how we personally act, react, and support are unique. Our voice patterns are unique. Isn't it amazing with the billions on the planet--each of us is special! My relationship with God is therefore special as well.

Today I choose to magnitude my unique relationship with God.

My worship, praise, and personal relationship is as unique with God as it is to each individual I make a choice to associate with on the earth. Today and every day, I choose to explode my worship and my praise into the heavens and before His throne in thanks and glory.

"Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.!"

Monday Magnitude--Memories

This might seem like a strange Magnitude but it occurred to me that as we grow older the first thing people say they miss is some of their memory. What I have found, as have many of you, we do not have to become "older" to miss some of the memories we once had front and center of the brain.

Recently I was working with a group, and as is my custom, I use myself as an example whenever possible. It let's people know that even though we make it through some tough situations, we are all imperfect but can change.

Then I started writing some of my experiences out. The more I wrote, the more my memories and dreams started to recall really old stories. Laughing to myself, I realized that I may not be "old" but I have probably forgotten more teaching stories than I remember.

Today I choose to magnify memories. They are awesome and wonderful events in life. Many of them we can laugh at now, but at the time wept through, didn't think we would surive, yet somehow did. And then there are those little moments of childish play.

If you haven't started, keep your magnitude of memories alive--start a journal or scrapbook. The more you enter, the more floods to the top of consciousness.

Monday Magnitude--Family and Friends

It is truly beginning to feel like winter in North America and people are bustling about in the holiday season. Perhaps not with the same anticipation as in years past, but I am reminded of some times that life wasn't what we wanted it to be, but we survived just the same. Today's Magnitude is about family and friends.

Holidays come and go. The excitement of Christmas and New Year Celebrations often correspond to months of preparations. I wonder what life would be like if each of us put that much effort into daily experiences.

What would life around you be like if friends, family, co-workers and just people on the street actually took the time and preparation to make today a celebration? Well, I can make a start. I can make a difference in my attitude, my environment to some extent, and certainly in how I speak and act with people.

Today I choose to Magnify my exuberance with family and friends because they do make a difference in my life. I love and appreciate each one, even my cyber friends! You make a real difference in my life. To some, we have become phone buddies and that makes the experience even more rich.

Today, magnify your friends, family members, and then reach out beyond--let's magnify life through love.

Monday Magnitude--Thanks For My Seasons

It is good to be back to the regular Monday Magnitude Blog! Today I want to magnify Thanksgiving. Not the one we celebrate this week in America, but for me, everyday is a day of thanks and giving.

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven...A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away." Ecclesiastes 3:1,4,6

King Solomon, the wisest man who has ever lived on the face of the earth. The king whom God said there shall never be another like him, even he understood that there was a time and a season that we all go through. All seasons even in the Lord are not "highs" We go through challenges, and have times of weeping and losing. But ...

With the Lord, even these times are less than normal. Because He carries us through the valleys, and pulls us up the mountains.

Today my magnitude is to recognize the seasons of life. So how does recognizing Thanksgiving equal seasons of life? I thank my Lord for each season that he challenges me with, and those He allows me to truly enjoy. This week, I will expand my thanks to God for bringing me through every challenge.

Monday Magnitude-Passion For The Gift

"Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave." Matthew 20:26-27

In Myles Munroe's new book "In Charge" is a wonderful teaching on the reality of using our gifts. God has given to each of us a measure of faith, and a measure of gift. We can increase both through the Word of God, and with our passion. Passion is the vehicle that moves the vehicle, our gift, into a new dimension.

He further goes on with this thought: When we become a slave to our gift(s) then we are able to be the servant to those who will benefit from our gift(s). I have taught this principle for years, but just really enjoy the way Dr. Munroe put it into a simple teaching tool in this book.

I realized that when I started being a slave to my gifts, people really did start to recognize my gifts as from God and could then be served His word.

Today I choose to Magnify my gift(s) for the service of the Lord.

I challenge you to take one gift that God has given you, learn to become a slave to it--that's passion that will not be deterred by anything, including criticism. And use it to serve someone else.

Monday Magnitude--Expand Your Creativity

This is the week that I start to prepare myself for the 30-days of November writer my fingers and mind into a state of frenzy event. This year I decided to do an expanded version by joining both the www.NaNoWriMo.com and www.NaBlopomo.com events. The first is writing a novel start to finish during the month of November, and the second is 30-days of blogging.

If it sounds a bit hectic it is, but for me it is a great way to get thoughts together, increase writing productivity, and really get the mind moving. It also puts a lot of other things on the back burner.

This week I choose my Magnitude, that thing that I want to expand and hope you will join me in the challenge this week--Let's Magnitude our creativity, our positive thoughts and energy towards a goal of your choice. Plan to be in a better place of thought, learning, or whatever in a week's time.

Monday Magnitude--Saying Thanks

On this particular Monday I choose to expand my thoughts and appreciation
to the men and women around the world,
in all cultures who wear fatigues, and serve their countries;
defending their values.

The Bible teaches that the devil comes
to kill, to rob, and to destroy
As and we begin a new wave of military expansion
which is evident in leadership around the world
different values, different agenda
wanting to confront others quickly

I choose this Monday to Magnitude Trust in God,
To Magnitude love for life
and to let others know how much I love and appreciate them
just for being who they are

Join me this week in writing a letter of thanks
to soldiers, if you need help finding somebody just let me know
Go to a nursing facility and give somebody that is all alone a hug
Visit with family that you haven't seen or spoken to in a while
Spend a few hours and give a high five on all those 'ning" groups
that you call friends LOL

Make this Monday Magnitude really outstanding in somebody's life

No matter what your country, send a letter or two to
a military person this week
Encourage them by saying Thanks!

We thank our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, for his saving blood, his mercy and grace to bring us through the mires of life, become obedient to his Word, and gives us victory against every challenge that comes. Oh Glory, HIS name is Jesus--Lord of lords, and King of kings, and nothing shall bring down HIS kingdom. Hallelujah!

Monday Magnitude--A Duet of Love

I get such a peace and comfort, joy and satisfaction knowing that God who made heaven and earth, listens to me. But the knowledge that HE sings to each of us and command HIS loving kindness towards us is nothing short of supernatural love.

I choose this week to magnify my spiritual ears to listen to the words and music of God into my spirit. And that I will then become a loud speaker for others to hear the love and contentment He has given me. Will you join me in the choir? Leave me a comment if you have joined the worship this week.

Monday Magnitude - I Am Unique

To magnify those things that will be a marvelous, and blessing to others,
I choose to be the unique and beautiful creation that my God
has made me,

September 15 Magnitude Sight Consciousness

"But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sigh of God." 2 Corinthians 4:2

In these days of uncertainty and often confusing information in the elections, international and local politics, as well as in the places where we choose to worship--there is only one thing that is certain to calm the sea--Truth.

Only the truth that we know can set us free; the whole truth, not a part but all of it. The more truth we obtain, used with wisdom through knowledge and understanding, the better and calmer our life becomes. No longer do we drift on the sea of hear-say but stand on the solid rock of truth.

This week I choose the Magnitude of Sight Consciousness--both spiritually and physically.

I choose not to listen to gossip, but investigate and find the truth in what is brought before my sight and hearing. What we see stays with us as a mental picture, be it words or graphics.

Let us be sight conscious this week; being positive and offensive for the truth.

September 8 Magnitude Committment

"Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass." Psalms 37:4-5

While meditating upon the Word of God this week, I just really like the idea that we can all make a difference because of our choices throughout the days and weeks.

This week, I choose and invite you to join me as we expand our resolve to keep commitments. We all make promises and commitments and so often forget about them in our busy schedules.

But the Psalmist says that when we delight, have joy, fulfillment and love in the Lord our God, that he will give us our hearts desire--that are the same things on his heart towards us. And when we commit--wow! He will bring them to pass when we keep our focus and trust in Him.

I am committed to expanding myself to be of service to others, to bring joy, peace, and love to a dark world in fear and trepidation.

August 25th Magnitude Understanding

I am excited for today, MONDAY. No longer do I dread the beginning of the week, looking only to the weekend. Everyday is a bright and excellent day to be challenged, to receive favor and overcome challenges.

I choose to magnify--expand--put the spotlight on understanding.

You might think that is a strange thing but think about it. King Solomon was known as the wisest man in all the world, and in the Proverbs2:3-6 he says:

Yea, if you cry after knowledge, and lift up you voice for understanding; if you seek her as silver and search for her as for hid treasures; Then shall you understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.

Let's look for understanding in our conversations, in our places of employment, in our ministries, and most importantly in our personal relationships so that we also find knowledge and have wisdom--because we seek understanding.

Be blessed and be a blessing through understanding.

Aug 18th Loving You

I love the little choruses we learned as children about love, being happy, doing good, and especially appreciating all people.

For the past few days I have been singing Jesus Loves the Little Children, All the children of the world. Yellow, Red, Black or White ... all are precious in His sight. Jesus loves all the children of the world.

My Monday Magnitude is to love the people of the world. I don't have to agree with everything they say or do, but I am commanded to "love my neighbor as myself." It is impossible to hate them and love me. It is impossible to have a Christ-like love for all of God's creation and has a dis-ease with others.

We don't have to agree on everything, and we have the right to peacefully disagree, but how can we, of any culture, hate another simply for being?

The difference is Jesus and His love for me, is duplicated and multiplied in my affection for His creation ... My Monday Magnitude ... Jesus loves you and so do I.

August 11th -- Love and Joy --Consider Your Ways

Most of us are reading and/or beginning the study of end-time prophecies, whether from a biblical perspective, Nostradamus, or other writings.

Perry Stone's Manna-Fest Program ( www.voe.org ) this week spoke about presidential election years. The feelings of confusion that seem to manifest as the election date draws near increases and then began to demonstrate historical lineage. Well, it's good to get understanding in all things, and listened with great interest. But my outcome is not one of concern because I know that with the right attitude and focus on Jesus, today is another Monday Magnitude!

So today, I chose to take the advice of the Lord when he said, consider your ways.

Today I chose to carefully consider my ways so that my future will be bright and with all good things. I will carefully consider my ways knowing that He directs my path into the ways of righteousness that brings me blessings.

Today I choose to expand or to make the magnitude of my thoughts towards good choices part of today and each day into a purposeful and deliberate future.

Monday Magnitudes - Refining Relics - August 4th

When I lived in the western United States, it was always fun to go to the country, roam around the fields of wild flowers. Each day we were thrilled to watch the panoramic paintbrush of God in the sky at sunrise and again at sunset. Everything was like the first time. Each visit brought new and yet to be explored beauty and wonder.

However, I am also reminded of stumbling upon old campgrounds and log cabins that had long ago been abandoned. The contents mostly gone and an occasional cup or pot left for the seasonal rains to fill, the winter snows to freeze, and the sun to warm the now rusted tin.

Being a collector and enjoying the simple pleasures of country living, those relics are treasures. This Monday Magnitude is about the joy of picking up what seems a relic, seeing the beauty in it and making something useful.

Today I say bring on the challenges of life, expand me, stretch me—let me become useful in ways I didn't know. Teach me the things that I might not understand and bring wisdom into my vessel that it continually be renewed.

"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." Romans 12:3

Monday Magnitudes started in July 2008, by me! The response has been overwhelming—or as we would say—surprising magnitude. Thanks to everybody for the encouragement and reader/blogger participation

What is magnitude? According to Webster's Dictionary is it greatness in size
or extent. It also refers to intensity i.e. of an earthquake. Words can produce the same affect (emotion).

A new theme will be posted every Sunday. Simply write your blog on the theme; copy and paste the code so the button shows at the top of your post and it will automatically take your readers back to the original Monday Magnitudes.

We can grow a huge network of positive statements that go out on the Internet—the airways, weekly. This meme grew from a weekly column I write and group on Take Root and Write called Differences Encouraged. YOU and I can make a difference in the world.

Scripture reference or other positive statements encouraged. Post your Monday Magnitude on Sunday evening so that everybody all your readers can see it first thing on Monday. Let's start the week out with our best words forward.

Laughing--Exhale In Joy

We often step over the small things in life to become overcome by the crisis of the day. I have decided that isn't going to be my style any longer. God said, that we have what we say we have and I for one want what He has for me.

Laughing--Exhale in Joy! Wow ... feels better already

Walking past a day care center located in a senior's center yesterday, I ws pleasantly embraced by the many sounds of children. Two little munchkins were riding a greenish gold dinosur. As they bumped up and down on this object of delight, the squeals got louder and louder. Have you ever just started to laugh and had it turn into a belly gusher? You just can't hold it n any longer. It starts out small, trying ever so politely to hold it in--then something just overtakes you and ... swoosh ... its out and your whole body is released from tension.

The worries, fears, and stress that had you trapped inside your tense body in one moment of expression from the heart melted away. You find yourself actually smiling. Think upon the good things of life, do what is necessary in the day-to-day and remember.
